About this event

The National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of Material Management and Minimization (M3) will host the 2022 NNSA Molybdenum-99 (Mo-99) Stakeholders Meeting.

The meeting will be held June 22nd with a tour of nearby Mo-99 production projects on June 23rd.

Note: The deadline for in-person registration is 4 pm eastern, June 9, 2022. Registrations for in-person attendance submitted after that time will be considered on a case-by-case; NNSA will provide e-mail responses to late registrants.

• Focus will be on U.S. industry’s progress in developing non-HEU technology to produce Mo-99 and issues influencing establishment of stable and reliable domestic supplies of Mo-99 in the U.S.

• NNSA will introduce cooperative agreement and other prospective Mo-99 producers, and provide a forum for each producer to talk about their associated Mo-99 production technologies.

• The meeting will also include updates from other U.S. government agencies and from other companies and organizations involved in the U.S. Mo-99 supply chain.

The meeting will take place in a hybrid format. Attendees can attend virtually via webcast using Zoom, or in-person at Fairfield Inn & Suites Chicago River North, in the River Room. Both in-person and virtual attendees are required to register; virtual attendees will be provided with the Zoom link after registration.

The meeting is open to the public. It will be held strictly following COVID-19 precautionary measures. To provide a safe meeting environment, seating for in-person attendees may be limited; attendees can request registration for in-person attendance no later than 4:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 2, 2022. If the number of in-person registrants exceeds the available space, NNSA will inform the affected registrants of the need to attend virtually rather than in-person. NNSA welcomes the attendance of the public at the Mo-99 Stakeholders Meeting and will make every effort to accommodate persons with physical disabilities or special needs. If you require special accommodations due to a disability, please include that information in your registration submission.

We intend to host this hybrid event in person as a hybrid event. However, our plans are contingent on the federal and local COVID-19 controls and guidance in place on the date of the event.  If the event is unable to take place in person, programming will shift to a virtual format.
